What is Infused Water?

Infused water is made with fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs to give the water flavor and imbue it with certain benefits. The water infuses with the whole fruit, rind and all, which allows for complex delicious flavors.

Because the fruit is merely an infusion, the detox water contains almost no calories or sugar. This makes it the perfect go-to for improving your health through hydration because the flavor encourages you to keep going for another sip!

The Benefits of Infused Water

1. Improves Health

This one might seem obvious, but preparing infused water every day with your favorite fruits can feel like a treat. You should be able to reap all the benefits of drinking water through drinking infused water, such as increased energy and brain function, flushing out toxins, and improved digestion.

Drinking infused water every day will be much more exciting and glamorous with your glamorous TOMO bottle by your side.

2. Weight Loss

You read that right! Since you receive all of the benefits from staying hydrated, losing weight will be a cinch.

Research has shown that even drinking 1⁄2 liter before each meal can have a significant effect on weight loss. TOMO offers our gorgeous bottles in 17oz, so you can get in your full 1⁄2 liter before every meal and maximize your weight loss in style.

Drinking infused water reduces your sugar and calorie intake by replacing sugary drinks with delicious fruit-infused water. Thanks to this, you’ll have no problem kicking extra weight to the curb.

3. Better Mood, Sharper Mind

If you have trouble drinking water over coffee or juices, then you’re familiar with the havoc dehydration can wreak on your mood. Even mild dehydration can significantly affect your mood and concentration levels. Dehydration is also the usual culprit behind frequent tension headaches.

If you’re not taking in enough water, rehydrating with fruit water can be a rewarding way to care for yourself and get into a better headspace.

How to Make Infused Water

Use room temperature or cold water to get the best results. Hot water will break down the enzymes and vitamins, potentially disrupting the benefits of your infusion.

Choose your fruit ahead of time. Many infused water recipes on the internet give specifics of how long you can plan for each ingredient to last. For example, citrus peels from fruits like lemons and limes become bitter after about 6 hours, but rosemary is good in an infusion for up to a week.

Use your TOMO bottle or any non-plastic container and allow your infusion to sit at room temperature for 1 - 2 hours or in the fridge for 3 - 4 hours. For a stronger taste, leave it in the refrigerator overnight (up to 8 hours), and you’ll have a delicious hydrating treat when you wake up!

Once the infusion is done, drink to your heart’s content. If you’re on the go, put it in your TOMO to show the world that you glow inside and out!
